ABOUT EMERITUS PROFESSOR

MARTIN BEAN CBE

Martin is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Bean Centre. His career has focused on the intersection of education and technology.

Martin was appointed as Vice-Chancellor and President of RMIT University in February 2015 and served until July 2021. He proudly remains part of the RMIT University community as an Emeritus Professor of Digital Education.


He previously held the positions of Vice-Chancellor of The Open University, the UK'S largest academic institution and leader in the provision of flexible learning, and General Manager of Microsoft's Education Products Group.
